@bigjoel. I will let you into a little secret. When Dr Phil's show was ended, before he got his own network up and running, all episodes were available. But since getting his own cable network, and this is a quote from Meta AI, a number of his "more controversial" shows have been deleted, due to sensitive nature of the topics. as a side note he has signed with a Christian Broadcasting company with his new Network. I was looking for an episode I know he did about January 6 and the interview he did with Michael Fanone, a police officer who was injured in the riots, I know it existed because I watched it. But couldn't find it. Some of his more political episodes have been deleted, along with anything to do with January 6 riots. My belief is he has become more of a journalist than a Psychologist and with the Christian Broadcasting connection along with recent interviews with Netanyahu and Trump, he was paid a lot of money to delete a lot of the less than savory episodes, that is, in the eyes of the Christian side of things.

I really do think my biggest problem with conservative humor is that it is repetitive and just...not funny. They just...state their beliefs with dynamic inflections and think that's enough. Like come on...at least be a little bit creative when you're trying to demean my existence

My wife mis-remembered the ending of the anime as the ending of the manga, and the only reason I stuck through those last 12 episodes was to watch this pathetic little weasel-boy grovel for his life. So I was EXTREMELY unhappy when that was not what happened.

I work in BH working with veterans, and they would NEVER receive treatment like this...smh She's an adult, and therefore he would need consent from her to bring her family/mother to the conversation. I saw this episode. I felt so bad for Bailey. She's clearly delusional, and he kicks her off the show instead of understanding and helping her. No wonder she thinks everyone would be laughing at her after the way Phil McGraw treated her. No one likes to be laughed at, and certainly no one needs to have a mental illness that creates delusion laughed at.

I was very thin all my life until I went through menopause. I am not as large as John by any means. But I know how much more difficult it is to do things now that I'm 160 pounds than it was when I weighed 100 pounds. It is more difficult to breathe. I tire more easily. I can't lie in the tub the way I used to. I feel for people who suffer from the condition John has. Life is PHYSICALLY more difficult for him than it is for the others, and few people seem to understand that. I have a dear friend who was large, although nothing close to John. It wasn't that she didn't try to lose weight. She ate healthy foods and exercised. She finally had bypass surgery, and has kept weight off for over 15 years. Being large is NOT a moral failing.

The only differences between the Dr. Phil show and the Jerry Springer show are 1) people don't get into physical fights on Dr. Phil ,2) Jerry Springer never pretended to "help" people, and 3) Jerry Springer never verbally abused guests.

Yeah I remember seeing a sketch of his recently and thought "I swear he didn't used to be conservative." I think the idea of needing to find a new cult (and again, yes it's not strictly a cult) but I think that's nail on the head. He NEEDS to latch his ideas and philosophies onto something. He can't come up with own ideas. Like the idea you can have a nuanced opinion about the trans issue. Or a nuanced idea of capitalism. "Wokeism" is bad in that it's extreme but so is extreme conservative (as much as that statement makes sense). But he's clearly indoctrinated to a blueprint of conservatism. He doesn't have a single personal viewpoint. And he never did even when he was spiritual though of course. Hence why his comedy was middling at best. It's sarcastic, so he just plays a character who is stupid and believes in stupid things. But that's not really transformative and so again implies it's not really his own opinions. Just stuff he agrees with.
